Platform

Every metric your services send, charted in one place.

Metrics lists the OpenTelemetry metrics in your workspace and charts any of them. Pick an aggregation that fits the type, group by service or an attribute, and copy the link.

What you get

Browse what you have

Filter the list by name, description, service or type. Tiles at the top count your metrics, services and time series, and show when the last data point arrived.

Aggregate the right way

The choices follow the metric type. A counter offers rate per second, rate per minute and increase. A histogram offers p50, p95 and p99.

Group without drowning

Group by service or by an attribute. With more than eight groups, the chart shows the seven largest and one called Other.

How it works

  1. Your SDK or Collector sends metrics

Anything that speaks OTLP works. The docs have Collector recipes for Prometheus, StatsD, Telegraf and SNMP.

  2. Pick a metric

Open the Explorer tab, choose a metric and an aggregation, and set a group-by and one attribute filter if you need them.

  3. Share it

Copy link gives a teammate the same chart. The link leaves out the time range, which follows the top bar.

Limits worth knowing

  • Metrics can lag traces. SDKs usually report once a minute, so a metric can trail a trace of the same event.
  • One attribute filter. The Explorer takes one key and value at a time.
  • Lists are capped. Up to 1,000 metrics per type are listed.

Chart something you already measure.

Point your Collector at your workspace and your metrics show up in the list.
