In stats on spans, count() counts requests: entry spans (server, consumer or root span), health probes excluded. failed() counts distinct traces with an error span in that service, so failed is never more than requests. Counting every span would report several times more. Overview, Services and AIOps use the same rule.This result has no time axis, so there is nothing to plot.
